Power Saving Tips N Tricks

1. Set your synchronization schedule

You can set your Motorola Q to automatically synchronize with your PC at time intervals that you specify, so that auto-synch doesn’t interfere with your peak usage time.
Press Start.
Select ActiveSync.
Press Menu.
Scroll down and select Schedule.
Scroll down to Peak Times.
Scroll right to choose the right option for your needs.
Press Done.


2. Use your screen dimmer

Set your screen to automatically dim after your Motorola Q is idle for a certain period.
Press Start.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select More.
Scroll to and select Power Management.
Scroll to Backlight Time Out on Battery.
Scroll left to decrease the time delay from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.
Press Done.


3. Disable Bluetooth® connectivity when not in use
When you’re not using your Bluetooth® headset and accessories, you can easily turn this function off.
Press Start.
Scroll to and select Bluetooth.
Select Bluetooth Manager.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll left to deactivate Bluetooth on your device.
Press Done.


4. Control the number of applications running
You can minimize the number of applications that run at one time.
Press Start.
Scroll to and select System Tools.
Scroll to Task Manager.
Scroll to the application you’d like to end.
Press Menu.
Select Kill for that single application or Kill All to end all running applications
