Other Useful Tricks N Tips

1. Remember your device lock password
TIP: Be certain to remember your PASSWORD if you enable the phone lock feature. Without your password, your phone will need to be reset at the place of purchase, which will result in the loss of your personalized settings and all content stored in phone memory.

2. Bookmark mobile-friendly websites
Many websites support ‘Mobile friendly editions’ (e.g. www.CNN.com/togo/) or ‘lo-fi’ versions. Choosing to bookmark these sites will provide a more efficient mobile web experience.

3. Save pictures and videos to storage card by default
TIP: To set storage card as the default location to save pictures and videos, in Thumbnail view go to Menu > Options > Camera. If you will have the option “Save files to: Storage Card”.

4. Customize the time limit for your videos
To change time limit for videos, in Thumbnail view, go to Menu > Options > Video. If you will have the option set video length to 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or no limit.

5. Synchronize Notes on your Motorola Q
Notes created in Outlook are not directly supported in Microsoft® Windows Mobile 5.0, Smartphone edition, and cannot be synchronized directly to the Motorola Q. Notes may be used with third party applications or alternative sync solutions such as GoodLink™.
NOTE: Alternatively, users may find it useful to utilize Tasks to synchronize personal notes and/or to-do’s.


6. Navigate Contacts by Category
Make it easier to navigate large Contact lists by using the Category field to differentiate ‘Business’ and ‘Personal’ contacts, for example. When searching Contacts, choose Menu > Filter by.
